Karachi Kings Stun Multan with Record Run Chase

Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 105 off 63 balls wasn’t enough as Karachi chased down Multan’s 234/3 in the final over.

Karachi Kings 236 for 6 (Vince 101, Khushdil 60, Seifert 32, Akif 3-41) beat
Multan Sultans 234 for 3 (Rizwan 105*, Bracewell 44*, Ghulam 36) by four wickets

A thrilling T20 run-fest lit up PSL 10 with 470 runs scored and a chase going till the final overs. It was only the second day, and fans witnessed two breathtaking centuries and one of PSL’s best ever matches. A match-winning 142-run stand between James Vince and Khushdil Shah sealed Karachi Kings’ third-highest successful PSL chase.

Vince walked in after David Warner’s early dismissal and smashed a brilliant 43-ball 101 to lead the charge. Khushdil Shah provided crucial support at No. 6 with a calm yet impactful 37-ball 60 for Karachi’s victory. This win was massive for Karachi, who missed the PSL playoffs for the past three consecutive seasons.

Rizwan’s Century Powers Multan

Multan Sultans batted first and powered their way to 234, led by Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 105 off 63 balls. Adam Milne leaked runs early, while Hasan Ali bowled well initially but went expensive at the death. Shai Hope fell early, while Usman Khan started brightly but was stumped trying to attack spin. Kamran Ghulam chipped in with a quick 36 off 19 before getting caught in the 15th over. Michael Bracewell delivered fireworks, smashing 44 not out from just 17 balls to finish the innings in style.

Mohammad Rizwan’s century gave Multan a big total

Karachi Kings’ Bowlers Struggled But the Batters Made Up for It Karachi conceded 22 extras but kept the PSL target chaseable despite inconsistent bowling in the final overs. David Warner started strong but was trapped lbw by Bracewell. A review could’ve saved him, but he didn’t take it. Tim Seifert added quick runs with a 16-ball 32 before nicking one off Akif Javed, who impressed with pace. Karachi was 79 for 4 after 7 overs and needed a solid partnership to stay in the PSL chase.

Vince and Khushdil Partnership Turns the Match Around

James Vince smashed a 23-ball half-century by the 11th over and looked in complete control of the chase. Khushdil built his innings carefully, rotating strike and allowing Vince to attack from the other end. Debutant Shahid Aziz bowled the 13th over under pressure and couldn’t stop the flow of boundaries. By the 14th, Karachi was 155 for 4, needing 80 off 42 balls—very doable on this pitch. Chris Jordan delivered a good over but then leaked 21 runs in the 16th, swinging the game Karachi’s way. Akif Javed lost his line as Vince punished him with one six and three boundaries in the 17th over.

A Historic Win for Karachi Kings in PSL 10

Though Vince and Khushdil didn’t hit the winning runs, Karachi cruised to a famous victory with 14 balls left. Multan hoped for a last-minute miracle, but Karachi’s middle order made sure the PSL 2025 thriller ended in their favor. This match will be remembered for its T20 fireworks, two centuries, and the Karachi Kings’ epic record chase.
